Happiest of birthdays to @marielbuckley aka, aunty Bucks. Your nieces miss you, come home soon...❤️❤️
My wife just crushed a half marathon, no big deal....Way to go @tshortbuck We love you
Well, I’m in a bit of a post @calgaryfolkfest fog right now. Might take a couple of days to recover from an overwhelming action packed weekend. Feeling grateful for an amazing musical companion in @jesseannedoll and all the love and support from the hometown crowd.
K, I’m gonna nap now. #cfmf40
I started going to the @calgaryfolkfest when I was 18 and it was definitely a formative experience in my life and career. I remember thinking how cool it was that a festival brings together so many diverse sounds and genres, and wondered how I’d never been before. Since then, I’ve gone back (almost) every year.
This year the festival celebrates 40 years and I’m feeling pretty excited about stepping out of the beer garden and on to the stage (but who are we kidding, I’m sure you’ll find me in the beer garden at some point too)
You can catch me with @jesseannedoll
Saturday 10:30 - 11:10 Stage 2 (concert) // Sunday 10:30-11:40 am
Stage 5 (workshop) // Sunday 3:20- 4:30
stage 5 (workshop) // See you this weekend!
Stampede is full on for most of us Calgarians. It’s a jam packed 10 days - whether you’re partying non-stop, watching the rodeo, carting your kids around, or in my case, playing a lot of shows.
And the end is usually bittersweet. It can feel a bit draining, but looking back in it, I feel pretty fortunate that every year our city spends 10 days getting together and live music becomes a pretty big priority.
So as I rest up from my stampede hangover, I’m definitely feeling pretty grateful. 📸 @rebecca_zahn
